Challenge
Displaying Heavy Appliances Without Compromising Retail Design
Snowa needed display stands for gas cooktops, built-in ovens and range hoods, intended for retail stores and market showrooms.
One of the main design challenges was accommodating the substantial weight of the products. At the same time, the stands needed to complement the surrounding store interiors, functioning as an integrated part of the retail environment rather than a separate visual element.
Concept
Structural Strength Meets Retail Aesthetics
To address both the functional and visual requirements, the stands were designed using a combination of materials. Metal played a structural role in providing the required strength while also remaining visible as part of the stand’s exterior design.
A wood-look finish was incorporated to maintain visual consistency with store interiors. Together, these elements brought structural requirements and retail aesthetics into a unified design approach.
Execution
Designed Around Product Weight
The design accounted for the weight of the gas cooktops, built-in ovens and range hoods intended for display. The multi-material approach addressed the project’s structural and visual requirements within a single stand design.
Material Combination & Visual Integration
Metal formed part of both the stand’s structure and its visible finish, while the wood-look element helped the stand complement the surrounding store décor. This combination balanced the need for structural strength with visual integration into the retail environment.
Production & In-Store Placement
Following design finalization and production, the stands were shipped to the designated retail branches and positioned in their intended locations.
